Problem Solving

The ability to find a solution to a complex situation or challenge.

Initially, we focus on simple problems with one clear answer with this problem-solving supported and structured by an adult. Over time, the students should be able to solve simple problems by themselves, including seeking out additional information.

They build up to being able to identify different potential solutions for problems with multiple potential solutions and being able to evaluate the different options to reach the optimal solution.

Ultimately, by the time they leave school students should be able to approach complex problems with deeper causes and effects.
